These differ from all the others in that they are almost always a double terminated (DT) and more often EXTRATERRESTRIAL (ET) formation crystals. They are related to the twins and the double. A Sunken Record Keeper is indicated by a triangle that appears to be cut into the stone and recedes into the surface of the crystal. These are similar to Keys, in the surface of the facet but they are distinctly triangular in shape. The sunken record keeper is much rarer than the raised record keeper crystals. The raised record keeper crystal activates cellular memory so information can be retrieved from one's own internal data bank while the Sunken Record Keeper is said to contain a data bank of information in the stone itself.

The RAINBOW CRYSTAL can be recognized by the reflection of rainbow light inside of the crystal. The clouds and inclusions within the crystal are caused by water vapor, gases or internal fractures that occurred during the crystal’s evolution. CASSIOPEIA STARBRARY CRYSTALS have lines and markings (symbols) down the shaft. They sometimes also have Keys and Record Keepers. The Star Systems these come from Cassiopeia, (some from Pleiades -these first two contain more philosophical information, are the basis for most of the Lemurian and Atlantean recollections, (and are the most sought after).

PLEIADES STARBRARIES are from the Pleiadian System, and are recognized by the geometric symbols along their sides - circles, squares, octagons, do-decagons, triangles and other geometric shapes, (not to be confused with Record Keepers). ORION STARBRARIES , with their deep ridges and furrows which create very definite glyphs on the faces of the crystal, rather than along the sides or shaft. This is the only Starbrary which bears markings on the face. This wondrous crystal is connected with the people of the Orion system. Of all the Strawberries, it must have a ‘companion crystal’.
